The New Daylight Savings Time

There's a new time in town and I don't think that we are all on the same page at this point. This weekend when the new daylight savings time went into effect, we noted that the some of the national television stations had not updated their times on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. Also my cable television program guide's time had not changed so we could only view the current programming and not what was coming up. And that was only a couple of technical glitches not to mention my having to change the times on my computer in a time of automation and the fact that I am going to have to do it again in a couple of weeks. I have a hard enough time changing the clocks on my wall. In all seriousness, it just shows us how dependent we are on automation in our lives and how a little thing like setting our clocks ahead by one hour can affect all of our lives in one form or another. I guess we will all need "a little time" to adjust to this.

I didn't really understand what all the fuss was until my parents explained that they changed the date of Daylight Savings Time.

In Israel, the date is a political battle between the religious party (who don't want DST at all) and the economic interests.
